Before your next client: use this 2-minute reset

Hey brilliant being,

Are you feeling the dog days of summer—the slump, the scramble, the pressure to keep up with “fun”? If the thought of one more obligation makes you want to cocoon on your couch, you’re not alone.

My mantra lately: “If it costs you your peace, it’s too damn expensive.”

That’s why you haven’t seen me in your inbox. Newsletters started feeling too costly—energetically speaking. Can you relate?

Here’s what I’ve been up to behind the scenes:

Reset & Recharge Your Energy

Ever notice how your nervous system feels fried after back-to-back sessions or meetings? Clients dysregulated, notes and emails piling up, and somehow you’re supposed to be “grounded”?

Here’s my 2-minute Mindful Self-Hypnosis reset I use between sessions:

  1. Move Your Body

    Stand, stretch, shake, or sway—let your body shift out of the last session. Even a small posture change helps reset your mind.

  2. Breathe & Release

    Close your eyes. Inhale deeply through your nose, pause for two counts, then exhale with a sigh. Silently repeat:
    “I give myself permission to rest and recharge now. I release the past. I let go of the future. This present moment is a gift.”

  3. Ground into the Present

    Inhale slowly and think, “Here.”
    Exhale mindfully and think, “Now.”

  4. Blossom Open

    Visualize a lotus opening. Each petal unfolds into mindful qualities you already hold: calm, curiosity, clarity, connection, confidence, courage, creativity, compassion.

    👉 If visualizing is hard, simply repeat: “Becoming calm… becoming curious… becoming clear…”

  5. Set Your Intention

    Choose one for your next session:

    • May I be fully present and listen deeply.

    • May I help relieve them of their suffering.

    • May wisdom guide my words and interventions.

    • May I end the session time =)

And here’s the thing: this isn’t just self-care fluff—it’s a clinical skill. When you regulate your nervous system, your clients feel safer and regulated, too.
